Story Maker ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at story-maker.io and the Story Maker application (the "Service"). The Service allows adult account holders to create personalised AI-generated stories for children, including fairy tales, bedtime stories, and special occasion stories, with optional AI illustrations and voice narration.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Story Maker account. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Story Maker accounts are held by adults only. Children do not create accounts or interact directly with Story Maker.

Free tier limits reset on the 1st of each calendar month. Unused generations do not carry over. We reserve the right to modify free tier allowances with reasonable notice.

Premium features marked "Premium only" are available exclusively to active Premium subscribers. We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove Premium features with reasonable notice.
The Premium subscription is billed at $8.99 USD per month. Pricing may vary by region and is shown in your local currency where applicable at checkout.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis. Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled.
You are responsible for ensuring your payment details remain current. Failed payments may result in suspension of Premium access. We will notify you of payment failures by email.
All prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated at checkout. Stripe collects and remits applicable sales tax where required by law.
You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to Premium features until that date.
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for new Premium subscribers. If you are not satisfied within 7 days of your first payment, contact us at support@story-maker.io and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked.
After the 7-day period, subscription fees are non-refundable, except where required by applicable consumer protection law. Partial month refunds are not provided.
If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us within 30 days at support@story-maker.io.
Stories, illustrations, and audio narration are generated by AI models operated by third-party providers (Anthropic, Prodia, ElevenLabs). Story Maker does not write or manually review each story before it is generated.
AI-generated stories are:
We apply automated content filters to story inputs and outputs. Story inputs that contain inappropriate, harmful, or offensive content will be blocked. We reserve the right to restrict or suspend accounts that attempt to circumvent content filters.
AI-generated illustrations are created from story descriptions and may not precisely match every detail of the story. Illustrations are provided for enjoyment and are not guaranteed to accurately depict every story element.
You own the stories generated under your account. By providing story inputs (your answers to the five questions), you grant us a limited licence to process that input to generate the story, and to store the resulting story on your behalf.
You may use your stories for personal, non-commercial purposes — reading them, sharing them with family, listening to them. You may not sell, republish, or commercialise stories generated by Story Maker without our written permission.
The Story Maker application, including its design, code, prompts, and all non-story content, is owned by Story Maker and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Story Maker's software or design without our permission.
Stories are generated using AI models provided by Anthropic, Prodia, and ElevenLabs. Their terms may also apply to generated content. We recommend reviewing their respective terms if you intend to use generated content beyond personal use.
You agree not to use Story Maker to:
